In particular, White Fell exists as a liminal figure, whose transition between human and animal reflects a transgression of concepts regarding gender difference and sexuality that shaped the traditional Victorian social identity. Situated within the proliferation of nineteenth-century lycanthropic fiction, Housman's werewolf represents the disruption of such normative boundaries. The s was a period of categorical crisis for the sexual body, when dominant discourses about what it meant to be a man or woman were fiercely contested.
In mythology and literature, a werewoman or were-woman is a woman who has taken the form of an animal through a process of lycanthropy. The use of the word "were" refers to the ability to shape-shift but is, taken literally, a contradiction in terms since in Old English the word "wer" means man. Werewomen are reported in antiquity and in more recent African folklorewhere the phenomenon is sometimes associated with witchcraftthough sources often do not state the animal into which the woman has transformed and it is not necessarily a wolf.

By MorlandusOctober 11, in Werewolf: the Forsaken. No, of course I'm not going to get down and dirty with it in here, but rather, let's talk about where the lines are drawn in relation to the act of having sex as opposed to that act 'bearing fruit' between Uratha. In the books, it states that in some places, sex is strictly not done, while in other places, simple sex isn't unheard of though it's still viewed with disdain by some.
